Our Organisation

NIAMOS is the not-for-profit business that manages the Nia Centre.
We provide access to spaces to create, learn, dance and share - connecting the local community and artists from around the world.

Directors

Directors have been elected at a general meeting to handle the governance (legal and strategy) of the company. The Board of Directors meets regularly to set the strategic direction, set budgets, approve employee appointments and advise and oversee the Management Committee.

Management Committee

The Management Committee comprises Directors, employees and key volunteers to manage the day-to-day operations of NIAMOS. It empowers Working Groups to carry out jobs and duties in line with the strategy set by the Board. Directors on the Management Committee have no extra vote or additional authority in the Committee.

Working Groups

Working Groups are formed as necessary to carry out the actions required to deliver specific tasks and projects aimed at achieving our strategic objectives.

Working Groups mainly carry out jobs around the building. They are made up of staff and members who volunteer hours and may employ services of third parties. This is the main opportunity for members to input into day-to-day decision making. Members of the Management Committee have no extra vote or additional authority in the Working Groups.
